Finished another Sashay scarf. This one in orange! I just keep adding them to my garland across the craft room. (I also worked on my socks!!)

4/29/12

Today I worked in my backyard moving pavers around so I could get ready for spring plantings. I bought my ferns for the front porch and moved around some things. Then I worked on my sock and finished the burgundy ruffled scarf. Despite sounding busy, I was actually very slothful. Not a big surprise...

Alicia and friends

We bought out the dollar bin masks at Joann's. Here's Alicia and her friends with their finished masks. A butterfly, flower and ladybug.

4/27/12

I know why I love these little projects so much--they are quick and easy. Knitting and crochet take hours. These take minutes. It's nice to feel successful quickly. Here's the two I made this evening and at the bottom in my current collection minus the purple one Alicia got. Love!!!

Huge error in judgment.

Not really. I'm aware of the potential towards obsessiveness. A trip to the craft store with Miss Alicia today showed me that I might be bordering on out of control. I'm resisting Andrew's idea of mass production, but by the look of my craft table that sounds like a lie.

Pinks are on deck for Friday!!

4/26/12

Here's today's creation. Like yesterday's bracelet, this on will come off my arm never to be returned. The kids at school love them. Andrew thinks this would be awesome to sell at a craft show, but I think it should just remain something I *like* to do.

4/25/12

Peyote madness continues! Here's the two I worked on today. And the pink one is actually now finished because I couldn't stop myself! I'm wearing a purple shirt tomorrow so I can show it off!

4/24/12

And tonight I made this cute perler bead bracelet using the peyote method I learned at A Knitter's Fantasy. And the picture is shaky because I was too slow to realize I should have switched arms and held the phone in my right hand instead of the other way around.

One day I will learn.

4/23/12

Worked solely on my knitted socks while watching Adam-12 and Dragnet 1969. They are looking great! Wish they worked up faster.

4/22/12

Finished the purdy ruffled scarf on Sunday!

Update

I'm playing catchup tonight. Mom brought it to my attention that I've not been posting. And when I realized how many days it'd been I was shocked! So here come 3 quick posts to show you what I've been doing. (And I'm finally feeling less zombie more human! Hurray!)

4/20/12

Today is Earth Day! And here are some crochet and felt flowers I've been working on. I figure, one crocheted in each color and then stop. They will look cute on my coat! Or on this cute hat I'm getting ready to make!! I also worked on my socks and I almost finished my ruffled scarf today, too! Busy day now that I feel much better!

4/21/12

Here's my sock. This is what I worked on Friday. It uses Shibui sock yarn. I forget the color name. Luke the blurry picture? Gotta love cough syrup with codeine!

4/19/12

Came home early from work. Still very sick. Managed to cast on my socks (frustrating on metal needles!) and make this pretty flower brooch. Other than that, I've been laying around like a zombie doped up on codeine cough syrup. Good times!

4/18/12

Was so sick on the 18th. Only managed about 10 rows on my ruffle scarf. This yarn is called Joy Metallic by Plymouth Yarns. This picture dies it NO JUSTICE. Magenta, pink and line green. Yum!

Brain Waves Beanie is complete! I got this pattern from Playin' Hooky Designs and I love it! Quick, cute, and millions of possibilities. I made this from my Vanna stash. My next one will have three main colors!

Well, I reworked the last two rows and it now fits my big head. And it's going to look awesome on Dad! (Not really, because he doesn't really want it, he just thinks it's cute in theory...) I can't wIt for cold weather!!

Drat! I finished the Viking Hat 5 minutes ago only to discover it is WAY TOO SMALL. The gauge was good until the last two rows. (sigh)

Knitter's Fantasy 2012

Here's the lovely little goodies I acquired today that I didn't need, but deserved to have.

4/14/12

Knitter's Fantasy was today in Youngstown. Haizle and I went together. I took a class to learn how to do peyote beadwork. Teeny tiny beads and teeny tiny needle. I'm hooked! Here's my ring I made today!

4/13/12

Here's my finished "Rumba" scarf from the lovely yarn mom gave me. Yum! I finished up working on it while I waited for my cousins Tanner and Zane. Time well spent I think!

How About Orange?

Found a new blog that I love. It is called http://HowAboutOrange.blogspot.com  and this is a tutorial I did today from that site out of felt.  It is a modular something or other.  Four piece woven together.  Tomorrow, I'm going to use two colors and possibly expand the idea to make a placemat.  Yippee!!!

My new slippers! They are so so so sooooooooo warm. I made them out of Hometown USA instead of combining two strands of worsted. Lovely!

4/10/12

The Ugly Bunny is complete. I almost stopped and just made him a monster, because I hate sewing on arms and such. But I persevered.

I started to work on the new slipper pattern about 10 minutes ago, but gave up. Not because it was too hard, but because I forgot I have trouble working with black yarn unless I have daylight behind me in my craft chair. Tomorrow, I'll try again. (After I go buy one more skein of yarn. I forgot I had two feet....)

The Ugly Bunny

This is a finished picture of the ugly bunny. I'm using green I stead of aqua, but he's going to look FAB!!

New Patterns!

Here's the three patterns I purchased today from Mamachee on etsy.com. A top hat (too awesome!), a Viking hat (Christmas gifts!), and slippers! So excited to start on all of them.....wish I were an octopus...

4/9/12

I was kinda lazy. Started several things, finished nothing. Picture number one is my "Ugly Bunny" amigurami. The second picture is the paper strips from yesterday in a heart wreath. They didn't turn out well, so I'm recycling it and trying again with less hearts and different glue.

4/8/12

Home from Columbus. Very tired. BUT, I got my supplies prepped for craft day tomorrow!!

4/7/12

No crafting today. I spent a second day visiting relatives. My aunt Joy. My uncle Billy and aunt Margaret. And these two pretty girls, Holly and Hannah.

4/6/12

Today, I spent the day reconnecting. I discovered that driving on Morse Rd at 5:30pm is a disaster. AND, I finally figured out how to knit a herringbone pattern after one failed attempt. No pics today. V e r r r r y s l e e e e p y.

4/5/12

Today, I created a better me. How? I stood up for myself. And that's better than anything else I could have done today. I've been having a rough go of it lately. Found out today that my boss never even read my witness statement about my assault. She was denying the removal of the children who harmed me.

As she flipped the papers at me, I picked them up and got ready to walk out. I turned and said, "I'm very upset that you lied to me. I was assaulted and I was hysterical. I'm NEVER hysterical and you know this. You took the papers and told me not to worry because you would take care of everything. I trusted you to at least take the time to read my statement and you have failed me."

She took the papers back and finally read the whole document. And then she says, "Forgive me. You're absolutely right, I failed you."

At one point, she said, "Why did you take so long to put in the assault paperwork?" I replied, "Because I trusted you when you said you would take care of everything. Why did you take so long to read my witness statement?" "Touché," she answered.

4/4/12

Spent the evening galavanting with Andrew. Free pie at Bakers Square With the golden buckeye club. Barnes and noble. Grocery. And then I forced myself to finish the last 120 pages of my book that's due tomorrow. I did cut out bunnies, though. But this puppy is cuter.

4/3/12

Sorry about the delay. Hectic hectic hectic here. On the 3rd the men needed supervising as the tote down my 92 year old garage. No crafting, just creating a new backyard. With my guidance. Yikes! They are m e s s y.

Made a ruffled scarf this evening for my friend Wendy. It's going to be a surprise for her tomorrow! I love surprises!

4/1/12

Putzed around a bit. Worked on a project for Lisa. And then I decided it was time to learn the crocodile crochet stitch. Yum! Too bad I ran out if yarn shortly after this picture was taken. This would make a cute purse...
