Kumihimo and Scottish Tartan

Today, I made this bracelet for my cousin David. It is leather and it is an 8 strand "kumihimo" braid. It is a spiral, basically. I've become obsessed with kumihimo on Pinterest, so I started up again today after a few years of hibernation. More coming! The next ones will be made out of satin cord called "rat tail." The designs should be pretty cool.

As for the plaid pictured--this is the official tartan for the Martin family. Andrew and I were googling the Wilson tartan and I looked up mine. I'm kind of smitten with it.
