This blog was originally about keeping a New Year's Resolution about being creative every day. As I plod through my daily trials, the blog has evolved into a way to find and maintain my happiness through crafting and creating.

Day 7 - Friday 3/25/11
FINISHING
Flatten Day 1. Slip Day 5 into Day 1 at open edge. Sew across edge through all thicknesses. Sew Spots to Day 1. Sew Day 6 to Day 5.
Join color A with sl st to top of Day 1. Ch 12, sl st in same st as join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
I chalked the mystery crochet along, because I was pissed off that it
was a mushroom potholder. I'm now unravelling the yarn for a different
project.

So, today I had a bright idea to take down the garland, peel off the
flowers, and find another way to hang them. I came up with punching
holes in the back layer of each flower and then stringing them on
cotton yarn. I like the effect much better than the original because
now they can drape instead of hanging stiffly on the ribbon with no
give. Heck, if they were smaller and nor made of paper, it could be a
pretty little girl (or big girl) necklace!
The wall hanging is crocheted and woven. I made it several years ago.
